When my mom was looking for her dog, I told her not to get one from the pet store. She was all, "I know, it's bad, etc". Then she paid far too much for a dog from the pet store because he was just so cute and I couldn't find a breeder (she didn't look) and I rescued him from that awful cage, and so on. Basically, she wanted a dog Right This Second, so she caved.
