Hehe, I'm miffed too when someone pulls an "ooh, exotic Finn" card without really knowing what they are talking about. There was one sci-fi writer who claimed Finnish ancestry, and her novel was called "Tales of the Lumipaikka". To people who do not know Finnish it might've looked cool--to Finns it's like the lamest planet name ever. "Snow place"??? I have not read the book, but I should :D

I should read the Night Watch as well. I've heard good things about it and its sequels. Apparently there are movies, too? I really need to start reading this journal with a pen in hand, marking down all the interesting books you introduce :)
