Heh, I spent some time googling the contributors to figure out if enough of them were non-white to count the book for my 50books_poc total. I gave up after a while, but... there are some non-white contributors--my really rough estimate was just under half. I think I had a couple of relatively minor eyebrow-raising moments, but in general I felt all right--though to be honest, I've read so v. little criticism on anime & manga that I wouldn't be surprised if I was less attuned to racial dodginess just cuz I was pleased to at least be sitting down & reading criticism at all. :/
