the thing about chen's author photo feels SO important. when a skinny woman likes sweets, it's a charming quirk. with a fat woman, it's embarrassing, a sign of her lack of self control and slovenliness, etc. if the book had been published by a fat woman, that in itself would have given it a whole different meaning (a la the difference in the two nyt articles). crazy.

and maybe it's time to reread GTD, since th idea of getting my inbox to zero was RIDICULOUS when i first read it but now it's how i try to operate, and i'm sure my system could use some refining.
