Ilona Andrews is hard for me to start reading, because she's not fluff. I mean, okay, I suppose some people would categorize her as fluff b/c she writes paranormals, but I don't (& I don't mean fluff as a bad thing, either). It's not the same as reading a lighter-toned, more humorous Charlaine Harris novel or something.
